You're in the tunnel. Jack walks off down the tunnel.

i follow and warn him not to move to quickly as we might pass a reenforced box 'o ammo o food and water(not that we need it) we may also have to make a hasty retreat if the need arises.

The way I pictured it was a coridor and a turn, to A: face the correct direction, and B: place defences.

from the way it sounds we went from a tunnel to the basement of the genome inc hq, in the military base. The way I saw the tunnel was: a narrow passageway which spans many miles and frequently branches off into other tunnels, connecting the tower tunnel to a vast underground network provisions such as food, water and weapons can be found on the walls,at regular intervals, in reinforced glass boxes, these boxes, like the tunnels themselves, are decades older than both the tower and the northern military base and are opened by a key, rather than a key card. The door in the basement of the tower is not dissimilar to the ones used in vaults in the 19th century(the design may still be used today, however I imagine todays models are electronically operated) in that it is a very thick metal door with a large wheel in the center, when you turn this wheel the lock mechanism is loosened and the door can be pulled open, the difficult task of opening and closing the door would have been an easier when it was first installed, but the years of being unused and uncared for have rusted the mechanism which opens the door, it would have been unusable had there not been a recent attempt to modernize the basement. The door on the genome end of the tunnel has been replaced by a much more modern design which utilities pan card technology, the modernization on Genomes entryway has taken place within the last five years, Genomes basement is almost exactly the same as the basement in the tower. (as I think I have already mentioned, the military base produces its own power and each building has its own set of back up generators). Ill write more about all of foxtonslands buildings in another post elsewhere along with a (hopefully) detailed history or the nation.

You march down. The tunnels that lead off have brand new looking steel shutters over them. There are keycode locks crudely placed over them, a sign on each on you pass saying "CAUTION: ENTER WITH PROTECTION, AREA CORDONED OFF FOR HEATH & SAFTEY" You yomp for about two miles before comming across an ammo container and someone trying to gain access. "Come on, you son-uf-a-b..." "Mr. Carcer-Spectro, a survivor!" He's wearing a blue overall marked with a wrench symbol. "Wha? Wh-who's there?!" he says

"M-Me Sir? I was ordered by the military to close up the shutters. Then weld them shut. But my welding impliment ran out on the shutter behind you and I'm trying to break in to this so I can shoot then attackers. At first I thought you were like them"

"well then, you can come with us and open any door in between us and the base, then you can shut them after us, the rest of us are going to protect you as you do this, we have enough food and ammo to last us weeks," I motion to my large military style back pack" we can also help you close the doors behind us, if need be,"i pause"unless of course you'd rather stay on your own with the constant threat of being attacked by single minded killing machines."

"No, no, that's fine with me. But, would someone please unlock this, we could always do with more weaponry" Tollton walks over with his key, unlocks it and pulls out the freshly purchaced Trigger Ltd. Firearms, two, a rifle and a shotgun. About two hundred and fifty rounds of 11.43mm x 56mm and a hundred and fifty ten bore shotgun shells. As well, are twelve boxes of "Long Life" 24 hour ration packs as well as a fire hose and a large, cumbersome looking 30 gallon barrel. Jack takes the barrel out and opens it. The smell burns your nose. The water is stagnant... You:...

"i should have had people come down and change the foodstuffs, since (i assume we've been traveling a while) since we've already stopped we may as well take a break" I take a ration and check it (these tunnels were built in the ww1 ww2 sort of era, they connected at least four research labs which were once a part of a top secret weapons research program. These research buildings consisted of a single floored concrete structure, which resembled a nuclear bunker, above ground and 2 to 3 basement floors below. When the tower was built the builders were instructed to knock down the walls of the bunker, but to keep the floor in good condition and build around it, then carpet it. They also added reenforcement to the floor. This was also done for the genome inc building (weather or not the tower had 2 or 3 lower floors is... For me to know) as the basement was used as a were house the food and provisions I got from there were fairly recent, this included weapons medical supplies and water. The bunker was used for weapons research, and as a military outpost through to the mid 1970's, when it was abandoned and other more modern buildings were built. I get up 20 minutes later and say "right lets get doing, you," I point to the mechanic"you go in between the rest of us, if we surround you your less likely to die on us, take a pistol," I take an m1911a1 from the weapons locker and hand it over to him"if you don't know how to use it, aim then fire, " i( assume someone else butts in at this point and explains the finer point of using a pistol)i then spend some time thinking about which ammo the pistol actually uses and throw some to the mechanic. We set off.

The mechanic takes the pistol that Jack offers, as well as the five extra magazines. "Chap, try not to tence up when you pull the trigger." He nods. The rations everyone picks out are dusty. Upon removing the dust, you read that the expiery is 'Early Twenty Second Centry' It's a decient meal. You all stand up and carry on. While sitting, Tolton walks over to the barrel and pushes it to about thirty metres behind and empties it. Grabs the fire hose and fills it. He empties and fills it a further three times and it becomes drinkable. He then uses some solid fuel that came with the rations to start boiling tea and his Boil-In-A-Bag meal. Tolton and the Engineer join in. You:...
